Manual Handling techniques to help prevention of Carer injury is an increasingly important area of health care. In an effort to help nurses and Carers in their jobs, we try to use 'sliding' type items rather than 'pulling', 'pushing', 'lifting', etc. type items. Our range includes Bed Slide Sheets (also known as Slippery Sams), slide boards (or transfer boards), walking belts (also known as 'Johnny Belts') and emergency evacuation equipment for cars and buildings. It is normally safer and less harmful for patients if our manual handling equipment is used, as they are likely to get bruising or skin tears if no manual handling equipment is used.
